"After examining the book of Bob Dylan's first art exhibit "The Drawn Blank Series", I was immediately engaged by the colorful, impressionistic work.When the exhibit opened in England I learned a limited number of signed prints from the collection were for sale. I decided I wanted to look into buying one. Via a Bob Dylan internet page, I was directed to the Washington Green site where I was linked to Smart Gallery
Smart Gallery's display of Bob Dylan's art was easy to view and clear in giving pertinent information on size, medium, limited edition count and other details. For a close inspection of the print, it was easy to click on it and move the mouse over any part of the picture for a magnified view.
The purchase of my chosen print, Statue of Liberty was a user-friendly experience as well. After which I promptly received an email confirmation. I also received helpful email replies to my questions and also informational ones about shipping and delivery. I was most grateful to Smart Gallery's Vicki, who let me know when the print was on its way to the USA and advised that I inspect the print before signing for it because in case of damage, the liability would not be mine. At the time of delivery, which was timely, the DHL delivery person was helpful in guiding my opening of the ample protective packaging.
When I first glimpsed the print, after opening the lovely folder it was in, I was taken aback by the brilliant colors and the dimensional aspect of it. The white paper it was printed on was a perfect complement. Enclosed with the print was a certificate of authenticity that was so nice looking, I almost think I might frame that, too!
Right before I took the print for framing, I received another helpful email with a valuation document attached. In this email, Vicki suggested the type of mounting, tape and backing to be used. I had never heard of floating mounting and when the framer showed me an example, I knew that was what I wanted for my print. It was helpful and reassuring information to have when I spoke with the framer.
