Born into the Cheshire Countryside, Annabel was from an early age conscious of pastoral images and she continued to develop her passion for art at Cheltenham College of Art where she gained a BA Fine Art Honours degree. Since turning professional, she has concentrated on portraiture and figure in movement along with her work on natural form. Annabel's main choices of media are acrylic on canvas and charcoal on watercolour paper. She has an incredible understanding of her medium and employs many techniques, both traditional and contemporary, to reinforce the energy and strength of her subjects. Her bold and often daring use of colour serves to set the tone and atmosphere of the piece whilst drawing attention to specific details and inviting the viewer to engage with the artwork She exhibits her work in a large number of galleries in the Midlands and North West of England.
