George Gale Art

I was born in Nottingham in 1960, and enjoyed a happy family childhood in a small Nottinghamshire village. My father was also a talented artist who inspired me to follow a similar path and I attended art college. On leaving college during the late 1970s, at the time of the miners' strikes and the three-day working week, I had no option but to put away my painting palette and find work. I held many varied jobs including working for an airline, in a graphic design studio and as a multiplex cinema manager, to name but a few. I realised that in order to follow my dream I had to make an important decision. I chose to commit myself fully to my passion for fine art and became a full time artist , a decision I have never regretted. My animal creations have been evolving since 1989, with inspiration being drawn from treks through the beautiful Derbyshire Dales. I, like many professional artists, strive for perfection and have a strong commitment to my work. My paintings have a querkyness which has won me much notorirty and a strong following.
