Selina started painting at the age of 40 while living in Sydney, inspired by the Australian landscape. She developed her silver-outlined style while trying to capture the shimmery effect of gum trees in the heat.Her first exhibition was at the TAP Gallery in Darlinghurst, Sydney in June 2009. Selina’s background is in biology having spent several years working as a laboratory technician and biological forms often feature in her work.Selina returned to her native Yorkshire in August 2009 and has enjoyed getting to know the moors and wolds again and adapting her style to the English countryside.
