Bev Davies

Biography:

Bev Davies trained at Wrexham Art College before completing a BA in 3D Glass Design and has since worked as a self-employed glass artist for over 30 years. Together with her husband, also a glass artist, she co-founded a studio specialising in contemporary lighting and glass installations.

In 2020, during the Covid 19 pandemic, she returned to painting — something she had long wished to pursue again. This period led to a deeply personal series depicting herself as a goldfish, a metaphor for isolation and containment.

Working in watercolour combined with pen and ink, her style is expressive and fluid. Drawn instinctively to faces — human and animal — she explores emotion, vulnerability and connection through dynamic mark-making and an evolving visual language.
