New Artists At Smart Gallery

Alison Johnson – Contemporary Landscape & Seascape Artist

Alison’s atmospheric oil paintings are vibrant and seductive and focal points for any space. By expressing the power of light playing amongst the water drops, this artist shows the abstract, surreal side to the natural world. Her seascapes follow a deep tradition which Johnson modernises and brings to a contemporary forefront. Colours sink below a piercing white surface as oceans and landscapes drift in and out of a sweeping hazy mist. The sky appears deep and brooding, the colours revealing a darkness that battles with the flashes of light.

Alison’s original oil paintings are presented in a sophisticated black box frame and are available to view & purchase in our Galleries based in North and West Yorkshire.

Louise Dear – Contemporary Figurative Artist

It is with great pleasure that we welcome the well known figurative artist Louise Dear to our fold. Louise has been hugely successful over recent years with a lengthy waiting list for commissions and artwork. We have no doubt that this demand will now grow to new heights with massive interest already being shown in her artwork and exhibitions.

Louise is a painter with a simple ambition… to create beautiful paintings.  She works on large sheets of prefabricated aluminium, priming the surface then throwing, rubbing, pouring and dripping inks and dyes, glitter and glosses, to form the background for her contemporary, figurative artworks. She is passionate about colour, shocking, vibrant and intense and continually explores the power it has to invade our senses and influence our emotions.

New Collections by renowned artists

Kealey Farmer – Contemporary Nature Artist

Kealey was born and raised in Derbyshire and spent most of her childhood painting, drawing and doodling, so it was inevitable that art was going to become a big part of her life. Throughout her life she has always loved exquisite things so it’s was a natural process for her to incorporate this into her work. She loves colour, reflections and fluid movements and wants people to be captivated by what they see. Kealey’s recent collections feature multi-coloured trees and flowers, with a romantic twist, she adds handcrafted embellishments to bring a 3D element to her artwork.

Kevin Bandee – Contemporary Abstract Artist

Kevin uses a multi-layer approach, with varying depths, each creation is revisited on a number of occasions, taking up to 2 weeks to complete. He also developed his own True 3D effects style, bringing in elements of nature to complement each abstract artwork. Kevin was looking for a unique touch that would separate his art from others, something to make it distinctive and provide true value and appeal to the art buyer, he hopes he has managed to achieve this.

Chris Bourne – Contemporary Landscape Artist

Chris’’ images are executed with many layers of colour, his pointillist dotwork is reminiscent of the Impressionists use of paint. His dream- like paintings have been praised by many for their exceptional ability to capture a timeless innocence, conveying the peace and tranquillity of the English countryside. Chris’ woodland originals are available in a variety of colours and sizes and work perfectly when teamed together as a set of all 4 seasons.

Adam Hart – Absract Artist

Adams abstract paintings are produced on box canvas, he uses a variety of media, meticulously layering specially blended oils and lacquers culminating in a richly textured, unique piece of contemporary art.

Leigh Lambert – Northern Industrial Art

Leigh is a versatile artist and can produce work in both Watercolour and Oil paint. He has developed a unique style of his own and consequently his artwork has been displayed in galleries and Art shows around Central & Northern England. His inspiration for his early paintings came from his childhood interests, including landscapes, and in later years from his “canny knack” to capture a view, usually with a very interesting building being the focal point. You could say that Leigh is a self taught artist and has always had an amazing talent for drawing and painting as he left school with no formal art qualification. However, for a short time he studied art at Tynemouth college of arts and Technology in the North East of England, and later for a brief period at Mid Warwickshire college in Leamington-Spa.

All the original and limited edition artwork above is available to view and purchase online or in our Art Galleries based in North and West Yorkshire.
