Pablo Picasso – Selling Exhibition

Join us in the Gallery on Saturday 21st September for the preview event of our Pablo Picasso Selling Exhibition.

The exhibition will run for the following 2 weeks. We will have over 30 framed pieces of art to choose from including Limited Edition Lithographs, Linoprints & Screenprints. Prices start from £450. This is a great opportunity to own a piece of art history.

Pablo Picasso was born in Spain in 1881 and was to become the most famous, versatile, prolific and influential artist of the 20th Century. The son of a painting and drawing master, he was remarkably precocious, mastering academic draughtsmanship when still a child. By the 1920s Picasso had established himself as a world-famous painter and from that time on his reputation and status continued to grow.

Picasso’s fame as a painter perhaps overshadowed his work as a sculptor, but in this field, he must rank among the most outstanding figures of the 20th Century, being one of the first artists to make brilliant and witty sculptures out of assembled objects.

It is our good fortune that Picasso had such a great love of printmaking. By the time he died in 1973, he had produced a substantial body of original etchings, lithographs and linocuts, which rank with the greatest prints of the 20th Century.

While the ownership of an original painting by the master is, for the majority of us, out of the question, his original prints made in comparatively small editions are still relatively accessible. We are delighted to bring you a selection of these pieces to the Gallery for this special selling exhibition.
